During the three and a half years of renovation, meticulous attention was paid to even the smallest details to ensure originality and authenticity were not compromised. Indeed, Villa Motovun remains exactly as it was at its construction. The stone slabs on the exterior lower terrace were carefully removed from the floor, cleaned exclusively by mechanical methods, and returned to their original place. Everything was hand-brushed and sandblasted, without any chemicals or other treatments.

Schönheit von innen und von außen

Fenster und Türen mussten wegen des Verfalls zwar ausgewechselt werden, wurden, jedoch, in ihren ursprünglichen Dimensionen und Farben ersetzt. Die Außenfassade wurde nach dem gleichen Prinzip erneuert. Außerdem wurde das Haus mit Materialien, die zur Sanierung von alten Objekten, wie z.B. Kirchen und Denkmälern benutzt werden, verputzt. Mit ebenso umweltfreundlichen Farben wurde das Haus gestrichen.

Unser Anliegen war das Gegebene zu erhalten, und Neugemachtes aus besten natürlichen Materialien anfertigen zu lassen.

Villa Motovun ist mehr als nur ein Haus

Wenn Sie den Sonnenuntergang auf dieser Terrasse erleben, werden Sie sich wünschen, dieser Moment möge nie vergehen. Einfach unvergesslich. Sie werden fasziniert und sprachlos sein. Wir wissen es und wir garantieren es. Der erste Morgenkaffee, eine Tasse Tee und das Frühstück … auf derselben Terrasse … Sie werden gar nicht wissen, welche Tageszeit Sie schöner finden.

You enter the villa into the open space area of the ground floor, with a large living room, a dining room, and a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen. At your disposal is one bedroom with its own bathroom and a separate toilet for guests. The exit from that bedroom leads you to the terrace, and once you see the view from that terrace, you will rarely want to go back to the room. The terrace is also accessible from the living room. Bordered by low stone walls and a specially designed iron fence, this terrace offers a magnificent view that stretches endlessly. A view that goes over boundless vineyards, olive groves, green forests and hills, all the way to the sea.

First Floor

A modern, black, metal staircase will take you to the first floor, into the sleeping area with three beautiful bedrooms. Each has its own en suite bathroom, wardrobe, and closet for storing personal belongings. One of them is the master bedroom, with a large, king-size bed, a spacious bathroom, a comfortable area for sitting or reading. In that master bedroom, there is also a fireplace, bringing additional warmth and atmosphere during your stay in the colder months. Ideal for relaxing Herrlich!

For socializing and entertainment, in the living room you have a beautiful piano. So if you play, don’t be shy, feel free to play, sing, hang out.

From the ground floor, next to the front door, are stairs taking you down a level, to a relax/wellness/fun zone.
Below the stairs is a utility room, where you can use washing machines and dryers.
In the first room of the tavern is a warm Finnish/bio sauna. After the sauna, you can immediately enter the shower, as well as a relaxing armchair for resting between sauna cycles.

For your entertainment

The following room, the second part of the tavern, is intended for absolute entertainment, socializing and relaxation, where you can play billiards, real darts with a board and chalk for recording scores. There is also a Sony PlayStation, you can watch games or movies together on the big screen, or just listen to music through a high-quality Hi-Fi device. And all this can be enjoyed with a glass of wine, which you can choose yourself in our rich wine stores, offering you carefully selected wines from local Istrian winemakers, as well as many other top-quality Croatian wines.

Auf der unteren Terasse kann man sich im kleinen Cocktail – Pool, auch Spool genannt, vergnügen und Spaß haben. Cocktail Pool impliziert, man kann auf dem Poolrand sitzen und gute Gesellschaft genießen. Spool ( Spa- und Pool Kombination) versichert Kombination von Pool und Hydro – Massage mit allen Ellementen, die ein solches System haben muss, wie Wasserwärmung, Strahldüsen für die Hydro – Massage und ähnliches. Unser kleiner Pool ist genau all das. Und sofort daneben befindet sich die Dusche zur Erfrischung und Aufrechthaltung von Hygiene vor dem Betreten des Pools.

The large and wide stairs that lead to the grill easily becomes a place to sit, and next to them, in the shade of the covered part of the terrace, there is another intimate corner for entertainment and a small bench.
Der ganze mittlere Raum der unteren Terasse ist mit bequemen Liegstühlen ausgestattet. Da können Sie tagsüber Sonne tanken und abends einfach entspannen.
